tonight was my last night working at Great Clips. i have been there since June 2nd, 2008. I actually got the job before I even picked up an application :) My friend Brittany from Cosmetology school was working there and told her boss about me... and Michelle told her I had the job as soon as I brought in an application! :) Just teaches you that knowing people does pay off sometimes :)
anywho... I felt very very loved tonight when I got to work and the girls there were all talking about who much they were going to miss me, and I had two girls who weren't there talk to me via phone! Plus I got cupcakes! always a plus!! (thanks Lauren! :) )
I have so many memories with so many girls over the years! LOTS of girls have come and gone while I was there! I've seen lots, LOTS of blood, cuts, and stitches (including myself - it's not a safe job folks! :)); had conversations about God, ghosts, car trouble, boys...which turned to husband for me, dates, weddings, pregnancies, kids, and oh so much more! I visited Germany, Poland, and Israel all while employed with GClips.
I broke many random things (like an awesome calculator...still sorry Megan :) ), and helped flood the break room with Lauren by mistake (almost happened twice!), and had so many absent minded pregnancy brain instances. (oh and lots of pregnancy farts ... which I had to try and hide from customers while cutting their hair :) hehe... that's for you Lauren! )
There were many sad times with the fun times. Watching friends move away (miss you like crazy Brit), and many different types of personal problems...but through it all we supported each other like a family - not just co-workers. Megan was our "mom" (who intimidated me like CRAZY when i first started work :)) watching out and protecting us. :) I had a few good cries with her, and she truly cares and goes out of her way for each of us there.
Anyways - this is my tribute to my friends at Gclips...I will still be around so it isn't goodbye - just see you soon - like at the Christmas Party!! :)
